According to ABC News, a man is in a critical condition after a fire broke out inside a home in Adelaide’s south-western suburbs.

Emergency services were called to a house on George Street in Marion at about 6.30am following reports of a fire. The 40-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious burns and remains in a life-threatening condition.

Metropolitan Fire Service crews extinguished the blaze, which was contained to the bathroom. Emergency services attended the Marion property in the early hours of the morning.

Fire cause investigators have attended the scene and inquiries into the cause are continuing. Police said they do not believe the circumstances are suspicious, but urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
