According to ABC News, a 95-year-old man has died after a van collided with his mobility scooter in Canberra’s north earlier this month.

ACT Policing said a white Toyota Alphard van collided with a blue mobility scooter at about 11:10am on Sunday, September 13. The crash happened at the intersection of Ginninderra Drive and Haydon Drive in Bruce.

Police said the man was assessed at the scene and taken to hospital with minor injuries. His condition later deteriorated and he died yesterday morning.

The death brings the ACT road toll to 12 this year. The ACT Road Policing Major Collision Team is investigating and will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Police have asked witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage who has not already spoken with officers, to contact Crime Stoppers ACT through its website.
