Arabic version: رينغو ستار يطلق ألبومه الجديد في موسيقى الكانتري، ويعود إلى جذوره
Ringo Starr has just released his 22nd solo album, which in some ways represents a return to his earliest recordings with The Beatles. This latest release, titled “Long Long Road,” reflects his long-standing affection for the genre, which he has incorporated into his work since his time with The Beatles. According to ABC News, Starr’s connection to country music can be traced back to his early days with the band, where he showcased his love for the style in tracks like “Act Naturally” and his own composition, “Don’t Pass Me By.”
The album follows his previous collaboration with renowned producer T Bone Burnett, who also worked on last year’s project, “Look Up.” Ringo recounts how their partnership came about almost by accident, leading to a successful venture that resonated well with both critics and fans. “We got a great response,” he reflects, noting the positive reception from audiences, including the BBC.
“Long Long Road” features a mix of new songs and familiar tracks, including a revisit of the classic country standard “I Don’t See Me in Your Eyes Anymore.” Starr also brings back his own song “Choose Love” from his 2005 album, demonstrating his ability to intertwine personal themes with his musical influences. He describes the creative process as enjoyable, stating, “It just sort of fell into place. It went so well and [was] so much fun.”
This album not only reinforces Ringo’s legacy as a versatile musician but also showcases the enduring influence of country music on his artistic journey. With a blend of nostalgia and fresh creativity, “Long Long Road” is poised to resonate with fans old and new, further solidifying Starr’s place in the music industry.
