Peter Phillips, the son of the Princess Royal, married NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, on Saturday. The wedding was attended by prominent members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
According to BBC News, the event attracted well-wishers from around the world, who cheered as the royal guests arrived. Metal barriers were set up to manage the crowd, and road closures were implemented to ensure security during the celebration.
The bride, Harriet Sperling, was accompanied by her three bridesmaids, including Phillips’ children Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, as well as Sperling’s daughter Georgina. The atmosphere was festive, with attendees shouting “hip hip hooray” as the bride arrived.
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling began their relationship in 2024, following Phillips’ split from his first wife, Autumn Kelly, in 2020. Their engagement was announced in August of the previous year. The wedding coincided with the Epsom Derby, where King Charles and Queen Camilla were expected to present the trophy to the winner after the ceremony.
