Television host Savannah Guthrie and her family are offering a reward of $1 million, equivalent to $1.42 million AUD, for information that could lead to the recovery of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. Nancy, aged 84, has been missing since January 31, when she was last seen being dropped off at her home near Tucson, Arizona. Her family reported her missing the following day, prompting a search by authorities.

According to ABC News, Savannah Guthrie shared a heartfelt video message on Instagram, expressing the family’s distress and unwavering hope for her mother’s return. “Every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then, of worrying about her, fearing for her and aching for her,” she stated. She emphasized the family’s belief in a miracle and their desire for Nancy to come home.

In her message, Savannah acknowledged the possibility that their mother may not be alive but reiterated their wish for her to be brought home regardless. “Someone out there knows something that can bring her home. And we are begging you to please come forward now,” she pleaded.

The FBI has also been involved in the investigation, previously increasing their reward for information to $100,000. Investigators have collected a DNA sample from a glove found near Nancy’s home, which appears to match a pair worn by a masked individual seen tampering with a doorbell camera prior to her abduction. The search for Nancy continues as the Guthrie family remains hopeful for her safe return.
