Arabic version: تصاعد الهجمات الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران مع انهيار المحادثات
The conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran escalated on March 26, with reports indicating a significant increase in the number and intensity of attacks. According to Al Jazeera, Israel has launched extensive strikes on central Isfahan, while U.S. forces continue to support these operations.
Civilian casualties have been reported, including the deaths of two teenage boys in a recent strike on a residential area in Shiraz. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed the country’s stance against negotiations, stating that Iran will persist in its resistance against U.S. aggression.
In response to the military actions, Iran conducted retaliatory strikes against Israel and several Gulf nations. The U.S. has reportedly targeted two-thirds of Iran’s missile and drone production facilities, intensifying the military pressure on Tehran.
The ongoing conflict has led to rising global energy and food prices, raising concerns about its impact on international markets. Oil prices have surged amid fears of prolonged hostilities, with analysts warning of potential food supply shocks surpassing those caused by the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
In the Gulf region, Saudi Arabia intercepted drones targeting its oil facilities, while the UAE’s defense systems have been actively responding to missile threats from Iran. Tensions are also evident in Iraq and Lebanon, where Israeli troops are engaging in ground combat with Hezbollah fighters, further complicating the regional landscape.
