Juliet Stevenson, the acclaimed actor known for her roles in films such as *Truly, Madly, Deeply* and *Bend It Like Beckham*, has opened up about her career and personal reflections in a recent interview. According to The Guardian, Stevenson expressed her biggest disappointment as never having landed a role in the *Harry Potter* franchise.

The 69-year-old actress, who has a rich stage background with performances for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, has received numerous accolades, including an Olivier Award in 1992 for her role in *Death and the Maiden* and the 2019 Critics’ Circle best actress award for *The Doctor*. Currently, she is touring with *By a Lady*, a show centered on Jane Austen, which is set to perform at the Buxton Opera House on May 10.

Stevenson also touched on her struggles with body image and her changing views on marriage. Initially opposed to the institution, she married shortly after the lockdown, reflecting on how societal changes, such as the legalization of same-sex marriage, influenced her perspective.

In her candid interview, she shared insights into her personality, describing herself as impulsive, enthusiastic, and determined. Stevenson also revealed her guilty pleasure of watching dogs on Instagram late at night, showcasing a lighter side to her otherwise serious reflections on life and career.
