Arabic version: ستيف كاري يتعاون مع لي-نينغ بعد مغادرته أندر أرمور
NBA superstar Stephen Curry has signed an endorsement deal with Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning after ending a long-term partnership with Under Armour. The 38-year-old athlete’s move comes after a 12-year collaboration with the American activewear company, which concluded in 2025.
According to BBC News, Curry will work with Li-Ning to develop new products and plans to launch his own chain of stores in both the U.S. and China. The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
This partnership marks a significant step for Li-Ning as it seeks to enhance its international presence, joining other Chinese brands like Anta in the global market. In a video on his business platform, Curry expressed optimism that this collaboration will facilitate Li-Ning’s expansion in the U.S., where it currently aims to build on its success with over 7,000 stores in Asia.
Li-Ning has stated that it will collaborate with Curry to promote sports culture and expand product offerings, particularly in basketball and golf. This deal represents Curry’s first association with a Chinese brand, following his earlier partnerships with Nike and Under Armour.
As one of the most prominent figures in the NBA, Curry’s transition to Li-Ning aligns him with other NBA stars who have also signed with Chinese brands, including Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler with Li-Ning, and Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving with Anta. The competitive landscape in China continues to evolve, with local manufacturers challenging Western brands in the sportswear market.
