Arabic version: ماثيو ريس يتألق في ترشيحات إيمي 2026
The 2026 Emmy nominations have sparked discussions with notable surprises and snubs. According to The Guardian, Apple’s breakout series Widow’s Bay led the nominations, while other shows like Stranger Things and Half Man were notably overlooked.
Stranger Things, a major hit for Netflix, received no nominations in the main categories, despite expectations for recognition in its final season. This year, the Emmys have chosen to highlight other shows, leaving fans of Stranger Things disappointed.
In a contrasting turn, Matthew Rhys received nominations for two distinct roles in different genres. He was recognized as Nile Jarvis in Netflix’s The Beast in Me and as Tom Loftis in Apple’s Widow’s Bay, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Other multi-nominees this year include Colman Domingo for Euphoria and The Four Seasons, and Jason Bateman for Black Rabbit and DTF St Louis. However, Rhys stands out for his exceptional performances, making him a strong contender for the comedy category.
The Emmy awards ceremony is set for September. Unless you are an aggrieved fan of Survivor’s sound mixing and plan to boycott the ceremony, it should be an exciting one.
