According to ABC News, Australia will host reigning world champions South Africa at Perth Stadium on Sunday, September 27, as the Wallabies look to extend a five-Test unbeaten run. The Springboks arrive after a 3-1 series win over New Zealand, setting up what is expected to be Australia’s sternest challenge in the current run.

Wallabies flanker Carlo Tizzano, who was born in Perth, hopes the city’s energy can carry from Fremantle’s AFL grand final against Brisbane on Saturday into the rugby Test the following night. Fremantle are pursuing their first premiership, and Tizzano said the Wallabies were backing the Dockers while hoping to add another win to the weekend.

Australia will enter as underdogs, as Fremantle will in the AFL grand final. South Africa won 30-12 when they last played the Wallabies in Perth in 2024.
