JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN – Digitel, South Sudan’s first privately owned national telecommunications company, commemorated International Customer Commitment Week on Friday, recognising the invaluable contributions of its customers, dealers and business partners to the company’s continued growth and success.

The celebration served as an opportunity to honour and appreciate the dedicated individuals and agencies who have supported Digitel’s expansion by distributing its airtime and telecommunications services across the country. Their commitment has played a significant role in strengthening the company’s presence, building customer trust and enhancing its competitiveness in South Sudan’s growing telecommunications market.

Speaking during the event, Digitel’s Executive Vice President, D. Chan, commended the company’s dealers, airtime distributors and partner agencies for their dedication and contributions to its success.

Chan described the relationship between Digitel and its business partners as one built on mutual respect, trust and shared commitment.

He emphasised that the company’s achievements would not have been possible without the continued support and loyalty of its customers.

“Without our customers, Digitel would not have reached this stage of growth,” Chan said, reaffirming the company’s commitment to improving customer satisfaction and delivering reliable telecommunications services.

He also praised the resilience and dedication demonstrated by dealers and airtime agencies, acknowledging their essential role in expanding Digitel’s reach and making its services accessible to communities across South Sudan.

Meanwhile, Digitel’s Chief Commercial Officer highlighted the central role customers have played in the company’s journey, describing them as ambassadors whose loyalty and confidence have helped establish Digitel in the telecommunications sector.

“We are here today because of our customers. We would not have reached this milestone without you, our valued customers and ambassadors,” he said.

He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring that every customer receives the attention and assistance they deserve.

To illustrate the importance of customer care, the Chief Commercial Officer shared a personal experience involving a customer who visited Digitel’s service centre in Juba town seeking a replacement SIM card.

According to the official, he personally assisted the customer by driving him to another Digitel service centre to ensure his request was addressed.

The following day, the same customer returned to his office, expressing an interest in joining Digitel’s network of freelance agents.
