The Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Melbourne has issued a message on its official Facebook page, directed to the members of the Egyptian community within the consulate’s jurisdiction. This announcement follows the consulate’s notice dated February 19, 2026, regarding the decision to send a consular delegation to Adelaide, aimed at facilitating services for community members residing in South Australia.

The consulate proudly announces that the mentioned consular mission will be led by Mr. Haitham Mokhtar, the Consul General of Egypt in Melbourne, to Adelaide from March 23 to March 26. The mission will be located in the building adjacent to the Church of St. Mary and St. Bishop Bishoy.

Firstly, an open meeting will be held with community members on Monday, March 23, from 8 AM to 6 PM. Secondly, citizens wishing to conduct consular transactions will be received on March 24 and 25 in two shifts: the first from 1 PM to 9 PM, and the second from 6:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

The consulate urges citizens who wish to make the most of this consular mission to complete their requests by sending necessary documents and inquiries via email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), which is designated for this purpose. The consulate has also published the requirements for obtaining official documents for residents within the consulate’s jurisdiction, including powers of attorney, birth certificates, national ID renewals, citizenship matters, passports, family records, and criminal background checks.

Additionally, the consulate has announced that from March 19 to March 23, there will be an official holiday in celebration of Eid al-Fitr. Consular operations and citizen reception will resume on Tuesday, March 24.
