Cairo – A Palestinian-Egyptian media delegation visited the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Cairo, where they met with Dr. Naji Al-Naji, Charge d’Affaires of the State of Palestine to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The meeting addressed a number of issues related to Palestinian affairs and the role of the media in supporting the Palestinian cause and conveying developments to public opinion.

The delegation included Major General Tarek Mahdi, former Minister of Information; Dr. Ayman Adly, board member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs and Deputy Head of the Journalists’ Syndicate; Engineer Ahmed El-Sharkawy, Chairman of Kimtec Medical Devices; Dr. Ibrahim Fareed Aseela, journalist and university lecturer in media ethics and President of the General Union of Palestinian Journalists in Britain; Dr. Salah Al-Qudumi, Director General of Film Directing and Director of the Cairo office of the General Union of Palestinian Journalists in Britain; Palestinian media figure and actor Jawad Harouda; freed prisoner Osama Al-Ashqar; and former Palestinian Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaibi.

The meeting stressed the importance of strengthening Palestinian-Egyptian media cooperation and exchanging expertise in journalistic and media fields, to help support the presence of the Palestinian cause in Arab and international media.

Participants also discussed the importance of developing media discourse and professionally covering events related to the Palestinian cause, in addition to reinforcing the media’s role in conveying the Palestinian narrative and delivering the facts to the public.

For his part, Dr. Naji Al-Naji welcomed the delegation, praising the importance of communication between journalists and Palestinian and Egyptian figures, and highlighting the role media can play in supporting the Palestinian cause and enhancing its presence in various forums.
