Parramatta Mission had brought together the local community for another successful fundraising dinner on 15 May 2026.

For more than 50 years, Parramatta Mission has supported vulnerable people across Western Sydney, offering immediate relief and pathways toward long-term stability.

Its signature Meals Plus program provides nutritious meals to homeless individuals and individuals in need of assistance, along with housing assistance, employment pathways and other critical assistance. It remains the foundation of Parramatta Mision’s work and a vital lifeline for vulnerable community members.

In the spirit of Parramatta Mission’ work, the fundraising dinner invited guests to share a simple meal inspired by the menu served to clients everyday, reflecting a real, symbolic and meaningful experience.

Meals Plus Coordinator, Paul Moussa OAM, also reflected on the fact that homelessness and cost-of-living pressures are increasing and Parramatta Mission’s meals and services are served in a non-judgemental, inclusive basis. He emphasized that ‘the community must help the community.’

The highlight of the dinner was when Donna Davis MP, State Member for Parramatta, presented a cheque of $35,000 from the Premier’s Discretionary Fund to support Parramatta Mission’s work for the community.

Other guests included Lord Mayor Councillor Martin Zaiter, Councillor Sameer Pandey, Councillor Sreeni Pillamarri and other Councillors of the City of Parramatta, parishioners from the Parramatta Community Uniting Church and business and community leaders.

The event was proudly supported by Wenty Leagues.
