According to ABC News, Victorians will head to the polls on November 28, with the ABC seeking public views on the issues influencing votes in the 2026 state election. Almost 4.7 million Victorians are expected to vote in an election the ABC says could be one of the most consequential in the state’s history.
The broadcaster is asking people to explain what is shaping their vote and why. It is inviting submissions on the problems residents believe need solving, ideas that give them hope and the messages they want to send to people in power.
During its recent national Your Say campaign, the ABC heard from Victorians across the state, including Melbourne, the Mallee, Gippsland and the Goulburn Valley. Participants identified cost of living pressures, housing affordability, crime, regional roads, healthcare, jobs and infrastructure as concerns.
The ABC is also asking Victorians to submit election questions they want candidates, parties or the broadcaster to answer. It says every submission will be reviewed by a journalist and that it may contact contributors if further information is needed.
Personal information will be treated as strictly confidential, the ABC says. It will not publish personal details that could identify a contributor without permission.
