Egypt’s Al-Ahly SC failed to qualify for the finals of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, having lost to the Brazilian Fluminense FC in the semi-finals with two clean goals.
Ahly will play for third place against the loser of the other semi-final match between Manchester City of England and Urawa Reds of Japan.
The third place match will be held on Friday, December 22, at 4:30 pm Egypt time (5:30 pm Saudi Arabia time).
Ahly previously achieved third place in the Club World Cup in 2006, 2020 and 2021.
