The comedian actor Ahmed Mekky has revealed his plans to captivate audiences once again with a new Ramadan drama series in 2025. After a long break from non-comedic roles, Mekky, renowned for his comedic performances in “El Kebeer Awi”, will be taking on a more serious character.

The actor will be collaborating with director Ahmed Saleh, following a series of successful works with director Ahmed El Gendy. Director Saleh is currently considering the initial casting for the series as preparations begin for the Ramadan marathon.

Mekky’s last work was the series “El Kebeer Awi 8,” which was broadcast during the last Ramadan season in 2024 and achieved great success. 

The series starred Mohamed Salam, Rahma Ahmed, Bayoumi Fouad, Hesham Ismail, Laila El Arabi, and Mostafa Ghrib among others. The series was written by Mustafa Saqr and directed by Ahmed El Gendy.
