The executive and artistic director of the International Youth Film Festival in Iraq, Khaled Al-Zahrawi, announced that Moroccan director Yassine El Idrissi, who won the award for Best Short Fiction Film at the festival’s second edition, has received the Golden Tablet award sent to him in Morocco. This was due to his inability to attend, along with other Arab artists, in Baghdad because of the exceptional circumstances faced by the region and the flight bans during the festival days.

Al-Zahrawi expressed hopes that all artists will participate in the third edition of the festival, which is scheduled to take place in April 2027, following the blessed month of Ramadan.

It is worth noting that the second edition of the festival was held under the slogan “Cinema Against War,” presided over by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubark. The event took place in Baghdad from April 1 to 5 of the previous month, under the patronage of the Iraqi Prime Minister.
