According to Cnbc, investors facing market volatility, elevated oil prices, geopolitical tensions, a Federal Reserve rate hike and debate over AI safety are being encouraged to focus on companies with long-term growth potential. The report cited analyst recommendations tracked by TipRanks for Oracle, Rocket Lab and Meta Platforms.
Guggenheim analyst John DiFucci reiterated a buy rating on Oracle after the enterprise software and cloud infrastructure company reported better-than-expected first-quarter fiscal 2027 results. He set a $400 price target and called Oracle a Guggenheim Best Idea, pointing to opportunities in AI training and inferencing, public cloud services, and AI-enabled cloud databases and applications. Oracle delivered 850 MW of data-center capacity in the quarter, while management expects revenue growth to accelerate sequentially through fiscal 2027.
DiFucci said Oracle’s infrastructure-as-a-service growth should remain strong, with full-year growth expected to exceed the first quarter’s 120% constant-currency rate. He also addressed customer-concentration concerns, noting that OpenAI’s share of Oracle’s total remaining performance obligations had fallen from 80% last June to about 50% and was expected to decline further as contracts are added.
Raymond James analyst Brian Gesuale initiated Rocket Lab with a buy rating and an $80 price target. He said the company’s launch, spacecraft, components, payloads and optical-communications businesses, along with Neutron and Iridium, could strengthen its platform in 2027. Gesuale expects the Iridium acquisition to add a deployed constellation valued at more than $3 billion, globally coordinated L-band spectrum, about $500 million in EBITDA and $300 million in free cash flow.
J.P. Morgan analyst Doug Anmuth upgraded Meta Platforms to buy from hold and raised his price target to $820 from $640. He cited Meta’s frontier AI models and AI-powered offerings beyond advertising, including the Muse AI agent and Meta Model API access. Anmuth also highlighted Meta’s distribution network, its user base of 4 billion, and AI infrastructure capacity that he believes can support future computing needs.
