Sydney’s multicultural community is being encouraged to come together in a powerful show of compassion and solidarity at the Nepal Flood Relief Fundraising Dinner, taking place on Friday, 18 September 2026, at Grand Royale in Granville.
Organised by the Australian Indian Sports, Education & Cultural Society (AISECS), the fundraising evening will bring together community leaders, parliamentarians, businesses, families and members of Australia’s diverse communities under one important message: “Australia Stands with Nepal.”
As communities in Nepal face the devastating consequences of flooding, the event aims to demonstrate that distance is no barrier to compassion and that Australians from all backgrounds can unite to support people experiencing hardship.
The evening will feature a three-course dinner, cultural performances and a live auction, with sporting memorabilia and other donated items going under the hammer to help raise additional funds for flood relief efforts.
According to the organisers, 100 per cent of funds raised through the event will go towards Nepal flood relief, making every ticket purchased, donation made and auction bid an opportunity to contribute directly to the humanitarian effort.
The fundraising dinner is also intended to send a broader message of solidarity to Nepalese Australians and their families.
“When leaders stand alongside communities during difficult times, it sends a message that is far greater than any donation — that we stand together, that we care, and that no community is alone in a time of crisis,” AISECS founder Gurnam Singh said in the event invitation.
The fundraiser is supported by a number of community organisations and businesses and reflects the strength of multicultural Australia when communities rally around those who need assistance.
Tickets are $89 per person, including the three-course dinner, with the event running from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.
With the fundraiser only days away, Sydneysiders are encouraged to attend, invite family and friends, participate in the auction and help amplify a simple message of hope: when disaster strikes one community, others can stand beside it.
