According to Cnbc, Jim Cramer said the coming start of earnings season should give investors a clearer view of corporate performance and the strength of the artificial intelligence trade. Major bank results, semiconductor reports, inflation data and elevated Treasury yields are set to command attention.

Tuesday’s reports are scheduled to include Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup. Cramer said recent weakness in bank shares could leave room for a rally if their results beat expectations. He said Goldman’s bond issuance and trading businesses could help offset slower deal-making, while he views Wells Fargo’s valuation and potential for improved metrics favorably.

Cramer was more cautious on JPMorgan, saying the stock is priced for near-perfect execution, and said he wants to see whether Citigroup can rebound. Johnson & Johnson is also due to report Tuesday. Cramer said the stock can decline during earnings calls despite what he described as strong underlying results.

Wednesday brings the consumer price index and earnings from ASML, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and BlackRock. Cramer said he will watch the inflation report for evidence that price pressures are easing outside energy. He said stronger guidance and demand commentary from ASML could support semiconductor-equipment names including Lam Research and Applied Materials.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing reports Thursday, alongside the producer price index and retail sales data. Cramer said a strong TSMC report could prompt a major semiconductor rally. He also warned that rising bond yields remain a risk, citing demand for money from the Treasury Department and private enterprise, chiefly data-center investments.
