Guests were encouraged to explore the venue while enjoying drinks and canapés, live background music and entertainment. Pianist Joseph Macri provided music throughout the afternoon, while roaming magician Jack Daniels performed illusion tricks among guests before and after the official ceremony. Photography and videography also captured the occasion and the many social-media-friendly features of the new space.

The cocktail menu featured a selection of dishes including mini chicken satay skewers, crispy prawn bites, smoked salmon and dill cream cheese cucumber bites, mini quiche Lorraine, prosciutto and melon skewers, and mini arancini.

With approximately 100 people in attendance for the opening, the event represented an important milestone for Bankstown RSL and highlighted the Club’s continued investment in creating contemporary spaces for members, visitors and the wider community.

Featuring a sophisticated interior, striking lighting, an impressive central bar and flexible areas for socialising and entertainment, The Glass House adds a fresh new dimension to the Bankstown RSL experience.

The grand opening concluded at 2.30pm, officially launching The Glass House as the latest addition to one of Bankstown’s longstanding community institutions.
