On Thursday, 7 August 2025, Youth Off The Streets is calling on compassionate individuals and corporate teams to step up and make a difference during its annual Giving Day — a day where every act of generosity is amplified, and every voice matters.
Why Volunteer?
Giving Day is more than a fundraising event — it’s a powerful movement to uplift children and young people facing hardship across Australia. As a volunteer, you’ll take part in something meaningful: reaching out to our community through phone calls to raise awareness and encourage vital donations. With every conversation, you’ll help extend hope and opportunity to those who need it most.
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking to get involved for the first time, this is your chance to be part of something truly impactful.
What’s Involved?
Volunteers will operate from the vibrant Operations Room at Youth Off The Streets’ corporate office in Alexandria. You’ll be making calls using a prepared script and contact list — and don’t worry, we’ll provide full training and induction an hour before your shift starts.
To keep you energised and inspired throughout your shift, refreshments will be provided.
Volunteer Shifts Available:
- Shift 1: 8am induction | Calling 9am–11am
- Shift 2: 10am induction | Calling 11am–1pm
- Shift 3: 12pm induction | Calling 1pm–3pm
- Shift 4: 2pm induction | Calling 3pm–5pm
- Shift 5: 4pm induction | Calling 5pm–7pm
- Shift 6: 6pm induction | Calling 7pm–8pm
We need 20 volunteers across these six shifts. Corporate teams are encouraged to spread their participation across multiple shifts to maximise community engagement.

Train: 12–26 mins walk from Green Square, St Peters, or Erskineville stations
Bus: 305, 355, and 370 service the area
Parking: Paid parking available at Secure Parking, 28 Bourke Road
