Arabic version: بيل يعود إلى جولة الربيع لمنتخب والابيز
According to ABC News, veteran playmaker Kurtley Beale has been recalled to Australia’s Wallabies squad for the spring tour of the United Kingdom, as the team looks towards the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The 37-year-old, who has 95 Test caps, has answered a call from coach Les Kiss for next month’s Tests against England, Scotland and Wales. The tour will be followed by the inaugural Nations Championship finals in the UK from November 21 to 23.
Beale replaces midfielder Hunter Paisami, who is unavailable for personal reasons. James Ramm and Kalani Thomas were also added to the touring group. Beale last played for the Wallabies against Wales in Cardiff in 2021 and was last included in a squad in 2024 before an Achilles injury ended his season early.
Kiss said Beale would primarily provide cover at inside centre but could play several positions in the back line. The coach cited Beale’s Test experience and recent form with the Western Force in Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby AUS.
Beale has previously featured at three World Cups, in 2011, 2015 and 2019. His selection comes after Australia fell to seventh in the world rankings following a 23rd consecutive Bledisloe Cup loss this month.
