Arabic version: اجتماع بري يركز على التعاون السوري اللبناني، ويستبعد حزب الله

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri recently held a meeting that centered on enhancing cooperation between Syria and Lebanon. The discussions did not include any mention of Hezbollah, according to Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad.

Mekdad emphasized that the meeting was strictly about the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations. This statement highlights the focus on diplomatic ties rather than addressing the role of Hezbollah in the region.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen connections between Syria and Lebanon, particularly in light of regional dynamics. The absence of Hezbollah in the discussions may indicate a strategic choice to prioritize state-to-state relations over non-state actors.

According to LBC, the talks were part of a broader initiative to foster collaboration and stability in the area.
