Arabic version: الإبلاغ عن انفجار قرب مطار عدن بعد إعلان الحوثيين تنفيذ هجوم

According to Al Jazeera, a powerful explosion was heard in Aden, southern Yemen, as the Houthi group said it had targeted a military site in the city.

An Al Jazeera journalist and a police official reported the blast. The police official said smoke was rising near Aden airport, an area controlled by Yemen’s internationally recognised government.

Reporting from Taiz, Al Jazeera’s Maha Ali said the Houthi group targeted Aden airport with a ballistic missile.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said the group targeted the Saudi-led coalition’s “military operation room at the Badr Camp in Aden with a ballistic missile”. He described the strike as “precise and direct”.
