According to BBC News,

The body of a 15-year-old boy has been found after he went missing in a lake in Lincoln. Emergency crews were earlier called to reports of a boy getting into difficulty at Swanholme Lakes at about 14:30 BST on Sunday. Lincolnshire Police confirmed that his body was found after scouring the lakes using an underwater search team.

“This is such a sad incident that will no doubt also affect many of (his) friends and the local community as well,” Lincolnshire Police said. They also emphasized the importance of looking after those affected by this tragedy, especially as the community enters the half-term week.

Swanholme Lakes is a local nature reserve and a nationally recognized Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). On the day of the incident, temperatures earlier were about 25C in Lincoln, coinciding with what was provisionally the UK’s hottest May day in 79 years, with highs of 32C reported at Heathrow.

Authorities have urged the public not to share information about the incident that has not come from an official source, emphasizing the need for accurate communication during this sensitive time.
