According to ABC News, Brisbane, Geelong and St Kilda recorded AFL round 23 victories on Saturday, while Hawthorn’s match against Collingwood and Port Adelaide’s home game against Melbourne were under way.

Logan Morris kicked four goals, while Will and Levi Ashcroft combined for 57 disposals. Chris Fagan coached his club-record 248th game, passing Leigh Matthews.

Gold Coast won several key statistical measures, including inside-50 entries, centre clearances and contested possessions, but its execution at crucial moments proved costly. Christian Petracca, playing in attack, finished with 12 disposals and did not make an impact on the game.

At the MCG, Hawthorn and Collingwood were level at 2.3 (15) apiece at quarter-time. Collingwood led inside-50 entries 18-8 and clearances 7-4, while Hawthorn’s Jarman Impey had 11 disposals and Nick Daicos had nine touches for the Magpies. Port Adelaide then began its match against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.
