According to Cnbc, investors will focus on earnings from Broadcom and Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike’s Fal.Con conference and a series of U.S. labor-market reports in the week ahead. Broadcom is scheduled to report fiscal 2026 third-quarter results after Wednesday’s close, while Palo Alto Networks is due to report Tuesday night.
Wall Street expects Broadcom to post earnings per share of $3.24 on $29.24 billion in revenue, based on LSEG estimates. FactSet estimates AI semiconductor revenue of $15.23 billion, up from $5.2 billion a year earlier. Analysts will watch whether the company follows through on its outlook for faster AI semiconductor revenue growth in the second half of fiscal 2026 and addresses its longer-term AI revenue expectations.
Palo Alto Networks is expected to report $3.35 billion in revenue and earnings per share of 98 cents, according to the LSEG consensus. Its fiscal 2027 guidance and next-generation security annual recurring revenue will be closely watched. The company’s report follows results from CrowdStrike and Okta that highlighted demand for cybersecurity products, while SentinelOne’s outlook drew a weaker market response.
Cybersecurity will remain in focus at CrowdStrike’s four-day Fal.Con conference in Las Vegas, starting Monday. Chief Executive George Kurtz is scheduled to deliver a keynote Tuesday morning, with Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang and Intel’s Lip-Bu Tan also set to speak. CrowdStrike plans an investor briefing Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Economic releases include the July JOLTS report and ISM Manufacturing PMI on Tuesday, ADP’s August private employment survey and factory orders on Wednesday, and ISM Services PMI on Thursday. Friday’s August nonfarm payrolls report is expected to show 62,500 payroll additions, a 4.2% unemployment rate and a 0.3% increase in average hourly earnings, according to FactSet estimates.
