According to ABC News, ACT Policing is investigating a reported burglary at a Canberra massage parlour after a car crashed into the business’s shopfront on Friday.

The collision occurred in Weston at about 11:45am. The car entered the building housing Harmony Tree Therapeutic Massage and Day Spa at Cooleman Court, opposite the Cooleman Court shopping centre off Brierly Street.

Five people were taken to Canberra Hospital, including three workers who became trapped and the driver. Two people were in serious but stable condition, one was stable, and two had minor injuries. Police said the 84-year-old female driver was assisting with enquiries.

In a social media post on Sunday, the business said someone broke in later on Friday night and stole a staff member’s mobile phone, car keys, house keys and ATM card. It said the ATM card was used without permission.

ACT Policing confirmed that a burglary had been reported earlier on Sunday and said it was looking into the report. The police investigation into the collision remains underway.
