Yesterday, the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) hosted its Annual Gala Dinner for the seventh consecutive year at Bankstown Sports Club, a night that has become a highlight in the community and business calendar. This year’s event, which was attended by more than five hundred guests, was particularly notable for its distinguished guests, including the NSW State Premier The Honorable Chris Minns and the Governor of NSW Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, alongside local, state, and federal members, community and business leaders.
The evening was a celebration of the chamber’s accomplishments and milestones, with an emphasis on strengthening ties between its members, friends, and the broader community. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal accompanied by live music, with beer, wine, and soft drinks available, creating an atmosphere of luxury and inclusivity.
The Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce, established in 2017 as the SWCC and later renamed, emerged as the first business chamber in Bankstown. Its formation responded to the need for an association to represent those engaged in commerce or trade within the Canterbury Bankstown Local Government Area (LGA), including those interested in investing or relocating there.
The CBCC plays a crucial role in facilitating opportunities for members to grow their businesses within Canterbury Bankstown and beyond. It is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, diversity, and knowledge-sharing, which is seen as key to a prosperous business community. Membership is open to all, offering a range of complimentary or subsidized events, services, and partnership opportunities.
