The Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce (CBCC), in collaboration with the Bankstown Basketball Association, hosted its highly anticipated corporate and sponsors networking event at the Bankstown Bruins Basketball headquarters in Condell Park on July 15th. The event showcased thrilling basketball matches. Distinguished community figures, including the esteemed CBCC CEO, Wally Mehanna, the Bruins CEO, Christian Gobolos, and Bankstown Councillors Rachelle Harika and Charbel Abouraad, graced the occasion with their presence.
While the basketball matches took center stage, the CBCC organized a separate event within the sports facility to further engage its attendees. Councillor Harika also took the stage, lavishing praise on both men for their exceptional contributions to the community. To add an interactive touch, members of the Bruins NBL One team graciously hosted a captivating Q&A session, regaling the audience with captivating tales of their training regimens, illustrious career backgrounds, and even divulging their favorite NBA teams.
The event reached its crescendo with a delightful raffle, offering attendees the opportunity to win prizes by correctly guessing various referee signals on the court, including the professional foul signal. An array of coveted prizes awaited, including a prized basketball autographed by several Bruins players.
