The project was spearheaded by Lion Simon, who worked closely with the Clean Up Australia campaign organizers to ensure a smooth and efficient cleanup operation. The club members were enthusiastic about participating in the event, and a good number showed up to help with the cleanup. As they walked along the lake and park, they collected garbage and debris, including plastic bottles, cans, and food wrappers.

The Lions Club members were not alone in their efforts, as some of the children of the club members also joined in the campaign. These young volunteers were eager to help out, and they worked hard to clean up the area and sort the rubbish into recyclable and non-recyclable bags.
