Bankstown Bites is back for 2026 and City of Canterbury Bankstown is packing in even more flavour in our 21st year, with up to 60 stallholders, cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs and an exciting, new “dinner crawl” experience in the heart of Bankstown.
Get ready for mouth-watering cooking demonstrations from our celebrity MC Courtney Roulston (Coles Ambassador, host of Channel 10’s Farm to Fork and MasterChef Australia All-Stars contestant), and a fiery BBQ Masterclass from renowned chef and BBQ Cooking School founder Ben Farley.
For the first year, visitors can also immerse themselves in the tastes and stories behind three of Bankstown’s premium restaurants – Tokyo Samba, Titanic Restaurant & Cafe and Volcanos Steakhouse – with our exclusive Bankstown Dinner Crawl (22 July).
Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said Bankstown Bites has become a flagship foodie fiesta that celebrates the diversity, creativity and culinary talent of the community.
“Bankstown Bites is where our City’s incredible food culture comes alive,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
“With around 20,000 attending last year, don’t miss your chance to taste the world in one place — from traditional family recipes to bold new flavours crafted by passionate locals.”
The festival fires up at our special Friday night launch on 24 July, 5–9pm, which will transform Griffith Park into a vibrant open-air marketplace with sizzling street food, live music and two big fire pits so you can stay toasty under the winter sky.
The food and fun continue Saturday 25 July, noon–6pm, with even more international cuisines, mini markets to pick up fresh produce, kids’ workshops, cultural performances and guided Bites Food Tours that will take visitors on a culinary experience through Bankstown town centre.
Over the jam-packed two days, your tastebuds will be tantalized by stallholders including:
- La Booza – a unique local Lebanese gelato business based out of a Punchbowl petrol station
- Popsok Popcorn – customisable dessert popcorn with sauces and toppings
- Wagyu Blacks – known for standout offerings such as steak rice bowls and signature long chips
For those who want to indulge themselves, they can join our pre-event food tours, which will visit Greenacre (8 July), Panania (9 July) and Campsie (15 July).
For Courtney Roulston, Canterbury-Bankstown has always been a city that genuinely excites her as a chef and as a food lover, especially Bankstown.
“Bankstown is one of the most culturally rich and flavour-packed corners of Sydney, and I’ve had the pleasure of exploring it over the years – every time I visit, I discover something new,” she said.
“I’ll be cooking up something that celebrates the incredible produce and multicultural influences we have right here in Western Sydney; fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour, but also approachable for anyone to try at home.
“Bring your appetite, bring your curiosity, and come ready to taste some of the best dishes this City has to offer.”
