Victoria Police has dropped charges against two males who were arrested and charged with the abduction of a teenage girl outside a Melbourne school. The alleged abduction happened at 8:30am last Friday, outside a school in Melbourne’s south-east.
Ayom Deng, 18, was arrested in Melbourne’s west at about 10am on Wednesday over the alleged abduction near a school in Melbourne’s south-east. He faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where charge sheets revealed five offences including abducting the girl “with intent on marrying … without her consent.” His co-accused, a 15-year-old boy, was also charged with abduction.
According to ABC News, Victoria Police said they had contacted all parties to inform them charges had been withdrawn.
