City of Parramatta has announced more than $300,000 in funding through its Annual Community Grants Program at this week’s Ordinary Meeting.

This year’s Community Round resulted in 29 local projects approved for funding across three grant categories including Community Capacity Building, Growing Social Enterprise in Parramatta and Community Events (Round 1).

City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the grants program is a clear investment in our people.

“Parramatta is bursting with ideas, talent and community spirit and this program proves it,” Cr Zaiter said.

“Our Community Grants fund innovative projects that strengthen and uplift our community, create positive environmental impact and enhance the vibrancy of our City day and night.

“The City of Parramatta is proud to back organisations that are strengthening connections across our City.”

Funded projects in this round include multicultural festivals, circular economy initiatives, creative pathways for emerging artists, disability-inclusive cycling programs, nature restoration projects, literacy programs for young families, training for volunteers and support services for vulnerable communities.

The City of Parramatta’s Community Grants Program supports not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, community groups and individuals across the LGA, which help deliver meaningful projects that align with Council’s community priorities.

Community groups will have a further chance to apply for funding in the new year with the 2026 Annual Community Grants – Cultural Round.
