Bankstown RSL Sub-branch welcomed the new season with a lively Spring Luncheon at the Star Buffet on Sunday, 14 September, bringing together members, friends, and guests from across the local veteran community for a day of music, camaraderie, and good food.

The event drew a warm crowd that included representatives from fellow clubs and community groups, notably the Yellow Jacket Ladies, The War Widows, and a number of visiting RSL sub-branches. Their playlist included sing-along staples such as “Stand by Me,” “By the Rivers of Babylon,” and “Flowers,” ensuring there was something for every generation in the room. As the afternoon progressed, the dance floor beckoned—several attendees stepped up for a twirl, turning the luncheon into an impromptu mini-dance party.
