According to Cnbc, Costco Wholesale reported fourth-quarter revenue of $95.72 billion, up 11.1% from a year earlier and above Wall Street expectations of $94.86 billion. Adjusted earnings per share rose 15% to $6.75 in the 16-week period, also exceeding expectations.

Membership fee income increased 7.3% to $1.85 billion, slightly below the $1.86 billion FactSet estimate. Worldwide renewal improved to 89.8% from 89.7% in each of the prior three quarters, while the U.S. and Canada rate rose to 92.3% from 92.2% in the prior quarter.

Paid members totaled 84.1 million, missing expectations and growing 3.8% year over year. That followed paid-membership growth of 4.1%, 4.8% and 5.2% in Costco’s third, second and first fiscal 2026 quarters, respectively. Executive memberships reached an all-time high of 42.3 million; the tier costs $130 annually, compared with $65 for a basic membership.

Total comparable sales rose 9.4%, ahead of the 9% expected by FactSet, supported by a 3.3% increase in traffic and a 5.9% increase in ticket size. Digitally enabled comparable sales climbed 19.5%, while e-commerce site and app traffic increased 30% from the prior-year period.

Costco opened 12 warehouses in the quarter, or 11 excluding a Taiwan relocation, and 28 in fiscal 2026, or 25 excluding relocations. The company plans 28 new locations in 2027 and expects to spend $7.5 billion on capital expenditures. CNBC reiterated a hold-equivalent 2 rating and cut its price target to $1,050 from $1,100.
