It’s now more affordable and easier for community members and local groups to host events, meetings and gatherings with the City offering a new suite of venue hire incentives from 1 July 2026.
Key venues across Parramatta including PHIVE, Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library (WPCCL), and community centre facilities will offer 50% venue hire reductions during off-peak hours for all users including commercial, community and unfunded not-for-profit organisations.
New hirers will also receive added extras such as complementary refreshments and stationary f when making their first booking at PHIVE, while at WPCCL incentives include free event styling, audio and visual equipment and co-working desk packages, or their first hour free at any of the 18 Community Centre facilities across Parramatta.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the initiative is designed to increase access to high-quality community spaces and support greater use of Council facilities.
“Parramatta is home to some of the best community facilities in the country and we want our community spaces to be enjoyed and activated by as many people as possible,” Cr Zaiter said.
“We’re making it more affordable for residents, businesses and community groups to come together and make these spaces their own by cutting hire costs in half during off-peak times.
“Whether it’s a community meeting, business workshop, celebration or social event, we want our venues to be the first choice.
These incentives are part of a 12-month trial ending on 30 June 2027.
