According to ABC News, Sydney-based fashion business Cue Clothing Co entered receivership on Tuesday afternoon.

FTI Consulting, which was appointed receiver and manager for Cue, said increased sales and other improvements across the group had not been enough to offset overhead costs.

The company was founded in 1968 and operates Cue and sister brand Veronika Maine. It will continue trading while receivers assess the business and restructuring options.

Cue’s store locator map lists 69 stores across Australia, including retail presences in David Jones, Myer and DFO. FTI Consulting said a sale process seeking offers for the business would commence immediately to secure the future of the brands.

Duncan Clubb and Shaun McKinnon of BDO were appointed voluntary administrators on the same day. It remains unclear whether the receivership will result in job losses.
