Message from the Mayor
Last week, Council adopted its new Budget for 2025-2029, allocating nearly $400 million over the next four years to deliver major community infrastructure and improvements.

A significant $92 million will be invested in the coming financial year to kickstart key projects, such as:
- Upgrade Guildford Swim Centre with an outdoor pool and indoor program pool.
- The new Laurie Ferguson Splash Park is coming to Granville Park, perfect for cooling off and making memories.
- Town Centre upgrades across the Cumberland LGA that will bring more greenery, better public spaces, and streets designed for our community.
- A high-performance basketball centre at Wyatt Park, with two additional indoor courts and upgraded amenities

There’s also significant investment in renewing local roads, footpaths, parks, sports grounds and public buildings across the area. This budget reflects the community’s priorities and delivers on the vision established through extensive consultation. It’s your plan, brought to life, and it’s helping us build a stronger, more vibrant Cumberland for everyone.
Thank you for being part of shaping the future of our community.
