Arabic version: وزارة الخارجية الأسترالية تؤكد وفاة أسترالي في فيتنام
According to ABC News, an Australian has died in Vietnam, with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirming it is providing consular assistance to the person’s family.
In a statement, DFAT said it was assisting “the family of an Australian who died in Vietnam” and offered its deepest condolences. The department said it could not provide further comment because of privacy obligations.
Vietnam is a popular destination for Australian travellers. Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show 37,500 Australians returned from short trips to the South-East Asian country in June.
