According to ABC News, Fremantle are an effective certainty to win the AFL minor premiership after a hard-fought 37-point victory over the Western Bulldogs at Perth Stadium on Friday night.

The Dockers, who were level with the Bulldogs at half-time in a low-scoring contest, pulled away late to win 11.12 (78) to 5.11 (41). Fremantle kicked seven goals to one after the main break, extending their perfect Perth Stadium record this season to 11-0.

Josh Treacy starred in his 100-game milestone, finishing with 3.2, eight marks and 13 disposals. His contested mark over three opponents and goal early in the final quarter gave Fremantle a 19-point lead and sparked a four-goal burst. Luke Jackson contributed 26 hitouts, five clearances, 16 disposals and two goals.

The win secured Fremantle a top-two finish and two home finals, with the Dockers now 18-2. They will be confirmed as minor premiers if Sydney lose to St Kilda, or if Fremantle beat Melbourne in round 22. Sydney are 14-5, while Fremantle hold a significant percentage advantage.

For the Bulldogs, Ed Richards had 26 disposals, nine clearances and 752 metres gained, while Tom Liberatore collected 28 disposals and six clearances. Cooper Hynes kicked two goals from 22 disposals in the absence of Aaron Naughton and Cody Weightman. The Bulldogs, now 12-8, face North Melbourne, Carlton and Melbourne in their final three rounds.
