According to Cnbc, the market enters the week seeking positive catalysts after the busiest week of third-quarter earnings season ended on a sour note. Investors will track another round of company reports, labor-market data and Tuesday’s midterm elections, which will determine control of the House and Senate for the next two years.

The election outcome could affect the AI buildout trade if anti-data-center politicians post major victories, while the opposite result could prompt a relief rally. President Donald Trump has also said he is waiting for the midterms before ordering any new military action against Iran. Higher tensions could pressure oil prices, bond yields and future inflation, creating potential headwinds for equities.

Six Club stocks are scheduled to report. Apple starts the group after Monday’s close, with attention on product demand, gross margins, price increases tied to memory costs and the contribution from its Services business. Eaton reports Tuesday morning, when investors will assess manufacturing-capacity expansion, margins, pricing, Boyd Thermal integration, the mobility-unit divestiture and order growth. DuPont also reports Tuesday, with organic sales, water and healthcare demand, construction activity and inflation effects on EBITDA margins in focus.

Qnity Electronics is due Wednesday, and investors will listen for commentary on consumer-electronics demand, AI chip manufacturing and shortages of advanced organic substrates. Cardinal Health and Kimberly-Clark report Thursday morning. Cardinal’s generic-medicine shipments, higher-margin growth areas and its renewed CVS Health distribution agreement are expected topics. Kimberly-Clark may provide updates on its planned Kenvue acquisition, cost inflation, China sales trends and its professional business.

Labor data will help shape expectations for Federal Reserve policy. Economists expect Friday’s October nonfarm payrolls report to show 75,000 payroll additions and an unemployment rate of 4.2%. September JOLTS data is due Tuesday, followed by ADP’s October private-payrolls survey and the ISM services report Wednesday. Initial jobless claims arrive Thursday. Manufacturing indicators include the ISM Manufacturing PMI on Monday and factory orders on Tuesday. As of Friday, the CME FedWatch Tool placed the odds of a quarter-point rate increase at just under 75% for the December meeting.
