Arabic version: تعطيل خدمات السكك الحديدية في عطلة عيد الفصح في محطة لندن يويستون
Major rail disruptions are set to affect London Euston station over the Easter weekend due to extensive engineering work. From Good Friday (3 April) until Wednesday 8 April, Avanti services will terminate at Milton Keynes Central instead of running to London.
According to BBC News, the disruptions are part of Network Rail’s efforts to replace a major bridge, upgrade signalling, and renew infrastructure. Replacement bus services will operate between Milton Keynes and Bedford, allowing passengers to connect to trains heading to London St Pancras.
Jake Kelly from Network Rail highlighted that bank holidays are typically among the least busy times for rail travel, making the extended Easter weekend an ideal opportunity for such significant projects. He advised travelers to check for changes before their journeys.
In addition to Euston disruptions, there will be a small number of London Overground Lioness Line services partially operating on Good Friday and Easter Monday. The London Underground will also see interruptions, with no service on the Hammersmith and City line and disruptions on the Bakerloo line between Stonebridge Park and Harrow and Wealdstone.
Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternative routes as the Easter weekend approaches, with significant changes expected across the rail network.
