Arabic version: تجار الماشية في باكستان يواجهون صعوبات مع ارتفاع التكاليف
Livestock traders in Pakistan are facing significant challenges as the ongoing conflict in Iran impacts their sales ahead of Eid al-Adha. The war has led to increased fuel prices, which in turn have driven up transport and food costs for these traders.
According to Al Jazeera, the price hikes have affected the affordability of animals, leading to decreased sales at one of Islamabad’s biggest cattle markets. Traders are struggling to cope with the rising costs, which are squeezing their profit margins.
As the festival approaches, the situation remains critical for many livestock vendors who rely heavily on the Eid al-Adha celebrations for their income. The combination of high prices and reduced sales is creating a challenging environment for these traders during a traditionally lucrative period.
