Newly arrived Palestinians from Gaza will have a valuable opportunity to access crucial information at the Employment and Education Expo this Friday announced the CEO of Arab Council Australia, Hassan Moussa.
Arab Council Australia is one of the lead organisers of the event, which brought together over 18 other organisations in the planning, and over 25 organisations, including universities, TAFE, and other education and employment providers, participating in the expo.
The Expo will offer essential insights into employment and education pathways, supporting recent arrivals in navigating their settlement process and rebuilding their lives after the recent devastation of Gaza. Services will provide one to one practical advice and support, as well as workshops about navigating the Australian employment market.

“We were made aware quite early on that the Palestinians who have recently arrived have on the whole remarkable education and employment backgrounds,” said Mr. Moussa. “With access to appropriate and useful resources and supports, we know that these new arrivals will be better placed to re-establish successful lives, whilst contributing to the Australian economy and community.”
The expo will take place at the Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre on Rickard Road, Bankstown, 10am – 4pm on Friday, 13 September 2024.
