Turkiye’s President Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the necessity of regional support for peace in the Middle East, stating that Israel must not be allowed to “dynamite” the United States-Iran deal. Speaking in Istanbul alongside Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Erdogan highlighted that sustainable solutions require the involvement of regional countries.

According to Al Jazeera, Erdogan expressed concern over the Israeli government’s actions, asserting that it should not be permitted to disrupt the ongoing negotiations between the US and Iran. He criticized the current Israeli administration for its aggressive stance and called for a collective regional effort to ensure lasting peace.

Recent discussions between US and Iranian delegations took place in Qatar, aimed at advancing negotiations following a series of exchanges of fire. The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced plans to create a communication channel with Washington to address any breaches of the memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The MoU, facilitated by Qatar and Pakistan, outlines key components including a 60-day ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and agreements regarding Iran’s nuclear program. However, tensions remain high as both countries have engaged in retaliatory attacks while interpreting the terms of the agreement.
