Loud explosions were heard in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and the Qatari capital of Doha for a third consecutive day of Iranian retaliatory strikes on neighboring Gulf states in response to ongoing attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran. According to Al Jazeera, Kuwait also experienced blasts early on Monday, with smoke rising near the US embassy.

Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted the majority of the drones near Rumaithiya and Salwa neighborhoods, according to the state-run Kuwait News Agency. Meanwhile, Iran has targeted a range of civilian and commercial areas across Gulf cities, raising concerns about the conflict’s impact on key regional aviation and trade hubs.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior has activated air raid alerts and advised residents to seek safety. The Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge linking Manama to nearby towns has been closed, with authorities urging residents to limit travel.

Casualties have been reported, with at least one person killed in Kuwait, three killed in the UAE, and 16 injured in Qatar. In contrast, Iranian casualties from US-Israeli attacks have been significant, with reports indicating at least 201 deaths and 747 injuries in Iran, along with nine deaths and 121 injuries in Israel.

A joint statement from the US, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE condemned Iranian attacks across the region and affirmed their right to self-defense. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Tehran is not seeking confrontation with its Gulf neighbors, framing the strikes as acts of self-defense against American aggression.
