Factory Sound, the home of audiovisual equipment and expertise in Melbourne, opened its flagship store in Sydney on 29 October 2024, making North Parramatta the centre of its industry networking, equipment, and creative hub.
Wally Mehanna, CEO of the Canterbury-Bankstown Chamber of Commerce, and Dr Andrew Charlton MP, Member for Parramatta, led the event’s ribbon cutting ceremony and industry welcome, supporting a new and exciting chapter for aspiring creatives, sound engineers, musicians, and venue hosts.

Jason Ghazal, owner of Factory Sound, a sound engineer by trade, and one of the industry’s top mentors for aspiring creatives and engineers, explained his commitment to making the company Sydney’s top institution for the younger generation. This is to ensure that anyone looking to test, learn and purchase the best equipment, can do this, through the expertise of his team.

Jason emphasised his dedicated to supporting the journey of aspiring creatives – whether that be the next generation of sound engineers, DJs, social media entrepreneurs, influencers, or event planners – his plan is to make North Parramatta the industry’s next innovation hub and top choice for quality equipment.

At the event, Jason, and his team of experts, including Artie Jones, General Manager and Industry Professional, shared their vision for the industry training and innovation hub. The aim is to host of series of education sessions once a month, so that customers, and enthusiasts alike, can test equipment before purchasing them, and hone their skills in AV delivery.

Dr Andrew Charlton MP, acknowledged the company’s dedication to supporting the professional journey of the next generation of creatives in Sydney and emphasised the emerging industry opportunities and pathways, particularly through the new upgrades to Riverside Theatre in Parramatta and The Roxy.
